A Reader's Response to David Horowitz

"Dear Mr. Horowitz,

I was appalled when I read your article entitled "Mrs. Cosby's Racial
Paranoia". What authority gives you the right to say that America has
given the Cosby Family anything but hell! With a last name like
Horowitz, I would expect you to know that nothing is given here in the
U.S.A. especially to those of us who are not uniquely american.
Should African-americans call the Jews hatred of Adolf Hitler, a man
who killed thousands because or racial differences, "Racial Paranoia".
I think not.

I am appalled but not surprised that you mentioned the case of Nicole
Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman in your article. It's people like you
that have continually tried Mr. Simpson in and out of the Courtroom
but some how the words not guilty still seem to aggravate you. There
have been no convictions in the cases of Simpson and Goldman yet you
imply in your article that the killers are Black?

Yes the justice system worked in favor of the Cosby Family, it's not
often that the criminal justice system works for anyone, but according
to your article, we should be thankful for that. You of all people,
once leader of the New Left party, should realize that this conviction
was a fluke in our justice system, or have you forgotten that , Mr.
Best Selling Author?

In her editorial, Mrs. Cosby seems to be sincerely concerned with
exposing the true heart of the matter. She presented to the reader a
reason why Mikhail Markhasev, killed her son. Maybe it's time for
americans to come to terms with Americas problems. The bible says in
Proverbs 23:7 " As a man thinks in his heart, so is he..." I think
it's time for us to change the heart of America so that we may one day
be free from our many racist attitudes and become the great nation
that we so desire.

In your article you also ask Mrs. Cosby, (a term which you should use
to properly address her, or didn't your parents teach you manners),
"on what planet is she living?" because she raised the issue of the
Voting Rights Act of 1965 expiring in 2007. Mr. Horowitz, what
country are you living in? Or have you forgotten because I sure
haven't. The country we are living in is the same one that denied
the right for millions of African-Americans to attend schools with
children of all races and colors, which was only 40 years ago. It is
the same country that was so filled with hatred many of our political
leaders were assassinated because of their views and beliefs, 33 years
ago. Yes in fact it is the same country in which the constitutional
right to vote was given to all but denied to millions of
African-Americans. Mr. Horowitz, that is the country and the planet
we are living on, these are the realities that stare us in our face.
Yes even the ghost of our not so distant past, is and will, still be a
problem in our future if we do not address it. And since it was "a
constitutional right" for African-Americans to vote, why was it
necessary to sign the 1965 Voting Rights Act into law?

In closing, Mrs. Cosby never asks for African-Americans to, nor
mentions the term "hate-whitey" in her editorial, you do. Tell me,
who is the realist and who is the racist.
